Recognized as serving the public interest, the association "La Cravate Solidaire" has been working since 2012 to promote professional integration for job seekers, interns, and apprenticeship candidates by combating employment discrimination. Its work centers on donating professional clothing and educating job seekers about corporate codes and practices to maximize their chances of success in interviews. Mentoring is a comprehensive, individualized, and personalized support system guiding people toward and within employment through a coach who is an expert in recruitment practices and their underlying codes. It is a long-term (6 weeks to 6 months) and complete support program in which all of the association's other support initiatives serve the mentor in addressing the challenges and needs of mentees. It is available to anyone seeking employment—whether or not they hold a diploma, regardless of age or professional goals—provided they are proactive, actively involved in their job search, and motivated to join the program.
