Our story
A Franco-American who has lived in France for over 25 years, I am returning to a project born in the early 2000s with my wife, Stéphanie: making volunteering opportunities easy to access for everyone and encouraging community engagement.
At the time, the available technology and our means didn't allow us to realize that ambition. The project lay dormant for many years.
Today, it is reborn. Thanks to the integration of the French government's API Engagement, anyone can now access more than 15,000 volunteering missions in a few clicks and find the one that matches their interests, skills and availability.
Drawing on my experience in the non-profit world, I want to go further — notably by building dedicated spaces for people looking to get involved in non-profit projects, and for people with disabilities.
Digital accessibility is at the heart of this effort. The ambition is to make benevole.com one of the most accessible and inclusive volunteering platforms in France.

This platform is powered by API Engagement (new tab), a digital public service created by the French government. It aggregates more than 400,000 volunteering missions from over 50 partner platforms.
By using this API, we ensure that all displayed missions are moderated and up to date. We do not store any user data and receive no commission.
