Association des conciliateurs de justice de la cour d'Appel de Pau

France's 2,700 civil mediators are organized into regional associations around the Courts of Appeal. The Pau association has 70 active mediator members. In France, mediators are key players in accessible civil justice dealing with disputes concerning housing, commerce, and neighborhood matters, governed primarily by article 750-1 of the Code of Civil Procedure. All volunteers, the Association provides them with a framework to organize their mentoring, facilitate their mission, and access the national federation's services and tools. The 70 mediators, spread across departments 40, 64, and 65, conduct over 2,300 mediations each year.
