Volunteering helps overcome related obstacles and misconceptions. As a mentor or sponsor, you accompany a child or young person with disabilities, helping them access culture, sports and leisure like other children their age. Through these shared moments, you provide the boost they need to open up to others and rebuild confidence in themselves.
