Mission description

Albatros Lyon supports people facing serious illness or end of life. This presence relies on trained volunteers with a specific approach: being present, listening, respecting each person's pace, and never imposing. Accompaniment volunteering requires preparation within a structured association, including training, practical placement, and regular volunteer support. The volunteer's role is primarily to listen and offer compassionate presence. Initial training and practical placement duration cannot be shortened. This volunteering is not suitable for university internship requests.
