The DDEN, volunteer Regional Education Delegates, partners of public schools, are imbued with ideals of justice, equality and fraternity. Since 1886, our history has been intimately linked to that of public education. Positioned at the intersection of administration, education staff, local government and parents, our role makes the DDEN a complementary component of the school board. The official nature of this function grants the DDEN an official and operational mission. Our independence gives us the necessary role of mediation and coordination between teachers, parents, municipalities and academic services. Our function of oversight, vigilance and proposal encompasses various areas: - Inspection of premises, furniture and equipment - Safety inside and around the school - Monitoring of enrollment numbers - Participation in construction and renovation projects - School catering - School transportation - School fund Management of extracurricular activities The Republic must today reaffirm through its public education service the dual necessity of gradually and simultaneously building respect for the freedom of conscience of students entrusted to it, awakening their critical…
