Local proximity volunteer mission: securing the public during mooring maneuvers, in queues, and at events (fireworks, concerts); assisting lost persons and people with disabilities; monitoring barrier integrity around the event perimeter; managing various contingencies. The Armada is a nationally significant event celebrating the Seine and the Sea through the world's most beautiful ships. Volunteers work in pairs on patrol across both riverbanks, completing a minimum of 6 shifts of 4 hours each (10am-2pm / 2pm-6pm / 6pm-11pm).
