Read and Smile is an association working daily to combat isolation among seniors in nursing homes through reading. Join us to lead reading and discussion sessions with residents, individually or in groups. Minimum 1-year commitment required with regular attendance (twice monthly, Monday to Friday, 10am-5pm, at partner facilities within 30 minutes of your home). Build trust with residents by preparing and reading texts (articles, short stories, poems, book excerpts) to spark discussion.
