Get to know homeless people in your area or near work. Once weekly as a pair, follow a nearby route to meet and chat with homeless individuals. Offer a greeting, smile, and your time freely with nothing expected in return—'bare-handed outreach.' The association trains and supports you. Commit 2 hours weekly in teams of 2-3, day or evening shifts.
