Going toward people living on the street, with empty hands and an open heart, is living fraternity. It is telling the world that our dignity withstands hardship and breaking points. It is believing that, on the street, encounter is life. Founded in 1981, Liberation for the Captives is a Catholic association of volunteers and professionals whose mission is to reach out to people in extreme precarity, those without housing or in situations of prostitution, regardless of their origins and beliefs, and to support them in helping them find paths to liberation.
