Since 1985, Solidarités Nouvelles face au Chômage mobilizes citizens to support all job seekers who request assistance, regardless of their situation. Organized as a national network with 1,800 volunteers in 157 local groups, we support about 4,000 people annually. Our strengths are availability, methodology, complementarity within volunteer pairs, and an approach based on listening and kindness. We have about twenty volunteers in Clermont-Ferrand who accompany all job seekers who contact us.
