You provide staffing and help animate the center by welcoming and following up with participants via phone, and greeting neighborhood residents during open hours over coffee. Through your action, you will support the team of volunteers working with isolated elderly people at home or in facilities to break their isolation and help rebuild social connections. Depending on your availability, commitment and skills, you may also help prepare other activities: meals, vacations, cultural outings, and year-end celebrations.
