I accompany people with serious illnesses, those at end-of-life, or in nursing homes

Mission description

Accompany people at end-of-life and their loved ones, or grieving individuals, by offering attentive listening and human presence. As a palliative care volunteer in hospital units and/or at home, you spend time with people at end-of-life, giving them your full attention. In nursing homes, supportive presence and active listening comfort isolated elderly people and give them opportunities to confide. Volunteers receive training according to JALMALV Federation guidelines and are supported by a team member before working independently.
