LIRE & SOURIRE, created in 2011, works daily to ensure everyone has access to books and reading. During lockdown, our team launched a new project: Read and Smile with Seniors, organizing read-aloud sessions for residents of nursing homes or senior residences. Join the project by visiting seniors in Vaulx en Velin Village nursing homes, sharing warm moments built around reading. To create lasting social connections and provide stability, long-term volunteer commitment is required (minimum one year).
