I facilitate visits between children and their incarcerated parent at the prison visiting room

Mission description

Accompany a child or siblings monthly to visit their incarcerated parent. The REPI volunteer is present throughout the visit, remaining discreet while ensuring the child isn't destabilized or manipulated. They monitor exchanges to prevent inappropriate comments and intervene if needed to maintain proper visiting room protocols in the child's best interest. Volunteers are supervised by an educator from the association. A child needs continuity in their relationship with their parent for healthy development.
