I help out at the Repair Café

Mission description

If you have skills in repairs—DIY, sewing, or fixing everyday objects (electrical, electronic, mechanical, or other)—and love sharing knowledge, join the Repair Café at the MJC du Pays d'Astrée. You'll guide participants in repairing their own items, advise them, and build their confidence in fixing rather than discarding. Knowledge sharing, friendliness, and connection are the Repair Café's core values. Greet participants, help them fill intake forms, offer refreshments, repair with them or direct them to a volunteer, and note repair outcomes on their form.
