I support children with disabilities on Thursday mornings with fun activities and outings!

Mission description

Working with a team of freelance educators, volunteers will help supervise a group of 6 children with disabilities, specifically accompanying one or two children during 'family respite' time. These sessions are offered to families needing support who lack resources for their children with disabilities or in difficulty and have low incomes. Children are welcomed at our Hippodrome facility every Thursday from 9am to 12pm. During these sessions and alongside 2 educators, volunteers will help run playful, creative and artistic activities (games, workshops, etc.) and occasionally supervise outings. Autism awareness training is provided.
