HopHopFoodMission description
HopHopFood is a citizen initiative giving local actors, individuals and businesses tools to combat waste and precarity, especially food insecurity among disadvantaged populations (students, migrants, single women, etc.). We have volunteers in civic service, 250 volunteers and staff hired since March 2020. In Nice, we have a dynamic, committed branch manager, Violaine! HopHopFood created and manages a free recovery service where people in precarity access unsold food from shops via our digital platform—like a solidarity TooGoodToGo reserved for precarious people, free of charge.
