I relieve a caregiver by welcoming their loved one to a respite center ☀️
Familles Rurales - Fédération MarneMission description
Your mission is to welcome people with cognitive disorders from degenerative diseases like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, or stroke survivors, and recently those with long COVID. This relieves their family caregivers who are often exhausted. Respite sessions aim to relieve caregivers 3 hours weekly, maintain and develop social connections, and stimulate their loved one without outcome expectations. You work alongside 5 other volunteers at each session, with a maximum of 6 people per session and one volunteer per person. A larger volunteer team allows for flexible scheduling.
