I lead group reading sessions for elderly residents in nursing homes and independent living facilities

Mission description

LIRE & SOURIRE is a foundation created in 2011 that works daily to ensure everyone has access to books and reading. During lockdown, the team launched a new project: Reading and Smiling with Seniors, organizing read-aloud sessions for residents of nursing homes and independent living facilities. Join the project by visiting seniors in independent living residences or nursing homes to offer group or individual reading time and conversation. Readings can be done in pairs. Sessions may take place on weekdays or weekends, typically in the afternoon. Frequency and timing are to be arranged with the facility.
