Arcade seeks young people aged 18-30 to volunteer on heritage restoration workcamps for one week between June and October, mobilizing youth around rural heritage. Two activities on site: manual work restoring the location (masonry, carpentry, moving materials, clearing brush, etc.) led by professionals or local volunteers, and social connection activities with locals (visits to nursing home residents, shared meals, theatrical performances). Located above Neuville-sur-Ain in Ain, Château de Thol is a former fortified site with origins dating to the 13th century.
