Founded in 2019, Arcade is a non-profit association that organizes heritage restoration worksites for volunteer participants aged 18 to 30. It pursues two main objectives: • Manual work to support French heritage sites in difficulty, working under the direction of site managers and professionals: masonry, carpentry, painting, lime rendering, etc. • Community engagement activities with local residents so that volunteers on the worksite become genuinely rooted in the territory and put themselves in service of living heritage: visits to care homes, shared meals, theatrical performances, etc. No need to be a professional—you learn on the job! By 2026, there are over 20 Arcade worksites across France offering around fifty sessions for young people. Since 2019, Arcade has supported more than 40 heritage sites throughout France and mobilized nearly 2,000 young people on its worksites!
