Mission description

HUDA (Emergency accommodation for asylum seekers) and CADA (Reception center for asylum seekers) in Montigny le Bretonneux welcome about fifty asylum seekers in scattered housing throughout the city, within 15 km of the offices. The administrative waiting period is often long and stressful, marked by isolation or language barriers. We are looking for volunteers to help them through this ordeal. The center regularly organizes various leisure activities with residents, including pétanque. We want to continue these moments of conviviality and sharing by diversifying our offerings.

HABITAT ET HUMANISME URGENCE

Membre du Mouvement Habitat et Humanisme, engagé depuis 40 ans pour le logement et l’insertion des personnes en difficulté, l’association Habitat et Humanisme Urgence (HHU) œuvre spécifiquement pour les situations d'urgence, offrant une réponse complète aux besoins d'hébergement et d'accompagnement social des plus précaires. A travers plus d’une trentaine de dispositifs pour 2 400 places sur l’ensemble du territoire français, HHU accueille principalement des personnes en situation de grande vulnérabilité (femmes victimes de violences, personnes sans-abri, etc.) ainsi que des personnes exilées (demandeurs d’asile et réfugiés) dans le cadre des programmes portés par l’Etat. Chaque année, Habitat et Humanisme Urgence accompagne 3 800 personnes, de telle manière qu’elles (re)deviennent actrices de leur propre vie. L’association fournit un accompagnement spécialisé, à 360° : démarches socio-administratives, santé, juridiques et vers l'insertion, afin que chacune et chacun puisse reconstruire sa vie avec dignité et respect. En outre, HHU met en œuvre des programmes conçus spécifiquement pour les personnes exilées, via la médiation artistique et culturelle, le sport, la formation et l'emploi, visant à faciliter leur intégration durable dans la société. Fidèle aux valeurs du Mouvement Habitat et Humanisme, HHU s’emploie, jour après jour, à bâtir de nouveaux liens pour une société plus inclusive et solidaire.
