In coordination with the hospital emergency department team, our volunteer mission is to provide active and reassuring listening to patients and their companions, reducing their stress and supporting medical staff. This mission is essential for creating human connection in a sometimes chaotic and anxiety-inducing environment. Provide empathetic, calm, and warm presence, offer attentive listening, understand anxieties, and gently redirect attention with tact and compassion.
