Opened in the 1990s, the Restos du Cœur center in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu serves seven municipalities. Run by 30-40 volunteers, it manages logistics, supplies, and food distribution. Beyond emergency aid, the center offers comprehensive support to promote autonomy and inclusion of people served, with four major pillars: budgeting and administrative support, daily life assistance including a symbolic-price clothing exchange and café space, employment support, and cultural and educational activities.
