Au carrefour de la culture, de l’éducation et de l’insertion sociale , Lire pour en Sortir développe depuis juillet 2014 des actions favorisant la réinsertion des personnes détenues grâce à la lecture, notamment avec la mise en place d'un accompagnement personnalisé à la lecture et des rencontres avec des auteurs, pour les encourager dans la découverte ou la redécouverte du livre et de la lecture.
