The JRS Welcome programme offers temporary free accommodation within a national network of families, shared housing, individuals, or religious communities for a person whose asylum application is pending and who would otherwise be homeless due to lack of capacity in the National Reception System. The volunteer mission consists of personalized support (one volunteer mentor per person in exile), an essential link between all parties involved in the reception process. This support ensures fraternal care through weekly meetings and regular contact with the same person—the mentor—throughout the entire duration of accommodation within the network.
