Banque Alimentaire du Rhône

The Rhône Food Bank's mission is to combat food insecurity and social exclusion. To achieve this, several vehicles circulate daily to collect food products from supermarkets and hypermarkets, logistics platforms, food cooperatives, producers, and agribusiness companies. These products are then sorted, stored, and distributed to the most vulnerable through partner associations operating locally. In 2025, nearly 3,800 tonnes of products were distributed to over 75,000 people through 154 partner organizations! Beyond food distribution, the Rhône Food Bank develops support programs with these associations to help beneficiaries eat healthily and reintegrate into society. Based in Décines, BA69 operates a 2,500 m² warehouse, 5 vehicles of 3.5 tonnes for daily collections and deliveries, and one 26-tonne heavy goods vehicle. It operates year-round with approximately fifteen employees and one hundred volunteers.
