Association Valentin Haüy - Siège

A historic advocate for people with visual impairments, the Valentin Haüy Association, founded in 1889 and recognized as being in the public interest in 1891, is a founding member of the Trust Charter Committee and accredited by this organization. For over 130 years, it has deployed a wide range of services and initiatives throughout France in order to: • Defend the rights of people with visual impairments, • Ensure their training and access to employment, • Restore and develop their independence, • Promote access to written materials, • Offer accessible cultural, sports, and leisure activities. More than 120 departmental and local committees of the association, run by volunteers, work directly with and serve people with visual impairments, helping them overcome isolation and providing them with the means to lead a normal life, as independently as possible.
