ARC - EQUIPES D'AMITIES (ARC-EA)

1 mission available

The association was founded on December 3, 1948, under the name Les Equipes d'Amitié, at the initiative of volunteers committed, from the post-war period onwards, to working with young people and youth groups. Its work is based on the educational value of a holistic approach to adolescents, founded on seeking their free commitment to the relationship proposed by the educator and on educational intervention in their living environment. For 70 years, the association has implemented its mission with and for young people facing the greatest difficulties or at risk of exclusion, those who remain distant from adults and do not find their place in institutions designed for them, in order to: - offer Presence, Dialogue, Sharing, Respect, Educational Support and Benevolence, through group activities or individual exchanges. - enable young people, recognized as individuals and not through their symptoms, to achieve autonomy and freedom in choosing their personal direction. - advocate with the relevant authorities for the rights of young people involved in their work and help the most disadvantaged communities to participate in economic, social, cultural and political life.
