Animalia Refuge Sanctuaire

Our calling stems from a profound passion and extensive reflection on animal welfare as shaped by its current relationship with us, humans. The Sanctuary is located in Normandy on a property spanning more than 4 hectares, bordered by a watercourse and a natural pond. The animals we welcome—dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, cattle, poultry, and more—have mostly experienced abandonment or been placed in danger. Our mission is first and foremost to ensure the well-being of each individual. Here at La Grande Mardelle, they find the promise of a better future. Each species lives freely in a natural space where every animal has its own shelter, which it may share with other compatible species. Our mission also encompasses taking action to protect animals through external initiatives and raising awareness among the public we welcome.
