AlimEco

1 mission available

A residents' association born within the Bagatelle Neighborhood Center, AlimEco emerged from the collective will of residents in the BaFaPaTabor neighborhoods to reclaim control over their food. Far more than a food aid distribution structure, AlimEco acts as a collective of citizen-activists mobilized to transform, from within and through popular education, the food landscape of the neighborhood. Our mission is to make the right to food a lever for empowerment, by deconstructing the mechanisms of precarity and reclaiming mastery of our daily supplies. Within the neighborhood's partnership ecosystem, AlimEco ensures direct connection with residents and transforms their needs and desires into concrete solutions, such as group purchasing or large pay-what-you-wish banquets. By facilitating social engineering and amplifying citizen voices in decision-making bodies, the association ensures that each action is conceived "with, by and for" those most directly affected. This on-the-ground expertise makes AlimEco an essential driver of popular food transition, proving that BaFaPaTabor is a living laboratory where solidarity and dignity become the foundations of genuine food democracy.
