The National Union of Family Associations established "Lire Ensemble" in late 2022, coordinating with the existing "Lire et faire lire" association. This action mobilizes volunteer readers for reading sessions with vulnerable people including seniors, those with disabilities, or facing illiteracy. Coordinated by UDAF 64 in Pyrénées-Atlantiques, it fosters solidarity and exchange between participants and volunteers through reading, combating isolation. Sessions take place in institutions.
