I care for traumatized dogs in a sanctuary
The Walnut Tree SanctuaryMission description
At the sanctuary, we have various tasks: care for animals (walks, play, brushing), distribute meals, clean, maintain linens, collect from stores, etc. Depending on your comfort level, you can vary tasks or focus on one mission. We take a different approach from other shelters. Our dogs aren't caged all day—they're with us or in large areas with other dogs. Their traumas run deep, and the beauty of our daily work is seeing our dogs progress and regain trust in humans little by little.
