Read stories to children waiting for visiting hours to see their incarcerated parent or loved one. Joining the Reading is Living association means becoming part of a community of active and retired members, book enthusiasts, committed to reading for all and convinced of reading's benefits in prisons. Reading sessions for waiting children aim to maintain family bonds, especially between children and parents, promote books and reading for all ages, and fight illiteracy and support French learning.
