Volunteer collectors work in two roles: at store entrances, attracting customers' attention with information flyers about needed items; and at checkout exits, collecting donated food items from customers. Collectors wear orange vests to be easily visible. Collections run from 9 AM to 7 or 8 PM on weekdays, and 9 AM to 12 PM on Sundays in select stores.
