HopHopFoodMission description
HopHopFood is a grassroots initiative giving local stakeholders, individuals and businesses, digital and non-digital tools to combat waste and precarity, particularly food insecurity among disadvantaged populations (students, migrants, single mothers, etc.). We have civic service volunteers and 250 volunteers, plus our first employee hired since March 2020! HopHopFood is launching a new service enabling people in precarity to recover unsold food from shops through the HopHopFood digital platform. The goal: field recruitment to convince new food retailers to donate unsold items to people in precarity through the network.
