The "Read Together" mission aims to break social and cultural isolation by restoring access to the pleasure of reading for vulnerable or isolated adults and seniors, including nursing home residents and hospitalized persons. As a volunteer, you become a storyteller and social connector by leading read-aloud sessions for small groups or individuals, selecting varied texts (poems, novel excerpts, news, stories) based on audience preferences, and engaging with participants.
