I volunteer as a senior to read stories to children in school settings

Mission description

Read and Share is not a tutoring program or academic learning, but an initiative focused on the joy of reading and intergenerational connections. Share your love of reading with children and inspire them to enjoy books. As a senior with about 1.5 hours per week available, come meet us. Reading takes place during school hours, where you work with one class throughout the school year, reading to children from nursery to primary school according to your preference. Children are organized into small groups of 2-6 students, reading primarily from children's picture books.
