I evaluate financial aid as part of a team

Mission description

The Financial Aid Commission provides temporary financial support to people in precarious situations. Each month, about thirty cases are reviewed: requests for help with medical care, school supplies, vehicle repairs, etc. The work involves a Monday morning session to prepare cases and a Monday afternoon meeting where team members discuss and collectively decide on aid to grant. This role is ideal if you have office skills (Word, Excel, email), can work collaboratively, and demonstrate listening, empathy, discernment and confidentiality.
