If you live near Thiers, wish to offer your free time to read stories to children—1-2 hours per week in a school, for middle and/or senior kindergarten classes—and are over 50, join the volunteer readers of Lire et faire lire by contacting the UDAF of Puy de Dôme. Lire et faire lire focuses on intergenerational connection to share the joy of reading and books. Because this cause is essential and exciting, and because children who love reading learn better at school, develop imagination, and broaden their horizons. We organize preparation meetings, discussions, training, and author meetings.
