I visit isolated elderly people

Mission description

Connection is the key objective of the Monalisa initiative (National Mobilization Against Elderly Isolation). Volunteers combat isolation and loneliness among seniors by visiting them at home or in care facilities, coordinated by the local social and cultural office. Each interpersonal connection takes the form that people wish: outings, baking workshops, discussions, readings, games. The meeting between a volunteer and a senior creates opportunities for meaningful sharing. Volunteers commit based on their availability.
