I facilitate activities at a community space and create connection with people in precarious circumstances

Mission description

The day care center and coffee bar are warm, inclusive spaces open to all people in severe precarity and/or isolation. Working with the team, volunteers help create trust, maintain a convivial and respectful environment, and offer respite, exchange, and social connection. Objectives include: creating social bonds through warm welcomes; providing safe, pleasant spaces; proposing activities to combat isolation; facilitating referrals to appropriate aid services; distributing mail for postal domiciliation; and offering hot beverages.
