Mission description

Promote, support, and submit to parliament by year-end a citizen-proposed bill: a mandatory cigarette butt return system for purchasing tobacco. Each year, nearly 30 billion cigarette butts are discarded in France, with about 40% in public spaces. One butt can pollute up to 500 liters of water. Current approaches (fines, prevention, urban ashtrays) don't effectively reduce this pollution. This bill introduces a mandatory butt return requirement to purchase new cigarette packs, with incentives for responsible smokers.
