American Field Service (AFS) is a non-profit present in about 60 countries promoting intercultural and language exchanges. Volunteers help organize stays for young foreigners participating in mobility programs in France and prepare French youth for experiences abroad. These stays last 3 to 11 months and are integrated into school curricula. Young people are hosted by volunteer families. Founded in 1914, AFS's network operates in 60 countries, developing exchanges and intercultural learning through youth mobility programs.
