Mission description

American Field Service (AFS) is a non-profit present in about 60 countries promoting intercultural and linguistic exchanges. Volunteers help organize stays for foreign young people participating in mobility programs in France and prepare French youth for experiences abroad. Stays last 3-11 months integrated into school curricula, with young people hosted by volunteer families. Founded in 1914, AFS's network operates in 60 countries developing intercultural exchanges and learning through youth mobility programs.
