American Field Service (AFS) is a nonprofit present in about 60 countries promoting intercultural and linguistic exchanges. Volunteers help organize stays for foreign youth participating in mobility programs in France and prepare French youth for experiences abroad. These stays last 3-11 months, integrated into school curricula, with youth hosted by volunteer families. Founded in 1914, AFS operates in 60 countries developing intercultural exchanges and learning through mobility programs.
