AFS Vivre Sans Frontière (Sud Ouest)Mission description
American Field Service (AFS) is a non-profit association present in about 60 countries promoting intercultural and linguistic exchanges. Volunteers participate in organizing stays for foreign young people participating in mobility programs in France and prepare French youth for experiences abroad. These stays last 3 to 11 months and integrate into school curricula. Young people are hosted by volunteer host families. Founded in 1914, AFS operates in 60 countries developing exchanges and intercultural learning through youth mobility programs lasting 2, 3, 6, or 10 months.
