I welcome families and loved ones of detainees visiting Chambéry Prison

Mission description

With our volunteer team, welcome detainee families before and after their visits to the visiting room at our space next to Chambéry Prison. We provide a sheltered space protecting visitors from weather and serve as a 'buffer zone' before visitation. We offer information on visiting permits and allowed items, and provide a play area for children. Our role is welcoming, listening, and informing with discretion, non-judgment, and respect. Two volunteers staff each session.
