Mission description

I create and maintain contact with people made vulnerable by isolation through regular phone calls or visits and shared leisure activities. Created in 2007, Arcachon Solidaire is built around a network of volunteers committed to serving isolated people, supported by a dedicated coordinator and a social worker from Arcachon's social services. It offers, based on beneficiaries' and volunteers' expectations, courtesy visits to talk, read, share leisure time or walks, with the aim of breaking isolation and promoting home care and independence for elderly or disabled people. If you want to offer a smile to bring a smile, presence and support, and have a listening ear, we would love to meet you.
